Thanksgiving Traditions, Petit Jean Meats Giveaway

When I left Mississippi via my years in the land of Elvis, Beale Street, Fed Ex, and Mud Island to live on top of a mountain in a state park, yes, becoming The Park Wife, I brought with me wonderful holiday traditions from my childhood that have become a part of our family. We also have added some new ones. I love the fact that these traditions give the little buckaroos a shared past that they will be able to then pass on to their children.

See, we are very serious about our holiday traditions down here in the South, if you don't use the word y'all in every day language, you might not understand. The majority of them revolve around food and a beautifully set table. I am not talking a menu that Weight Watchers would be happy about, I am talking real butter, salt, oh yes ma'am, we even use Karo syrup in our pecan pies. All arranged on grandma's silver platters that you just polished, Southern Living would be so proud.

My first year on the mountain, I was lucky enough to receive a gift of a Petit Jean ham from my employer, mercy, I have never tasted a ham so good. Oh and since I had not learned to cook yet, the fact that is was smoked (just needed to be warmed) was a bonus, a huge bonus according to my "sometimes has had to eat raw meat in the early days of marriage" husband. Petit Jean Meats has extraordinary meat from bacon, sausage, ham, turkey, oh my!

Now this is huge, I am able to share that tradition with my readers, woooo hooo. I am giving away a Petit Jean ham and a Petit Jean turkey. Yes, a delicious way that I am going to help you start a new holiday tradition. Sister friends, you will not want any other kind of meat for your holiday celebrations or throughout the year after tasting Petit Jean Meats.

Oh, one more thing, according to FTC guidelines I must let you know that Petit Jean Meats is sending a ham and turkey for my family. However, as someone who has eaten their meat and lived in the town where they are based, my post was honest and my own opionion. I was not asked to blog a favorable post, just asked if I would like to have products for a giveaway and for my family. So, there FTC, but I answer to a higher power for my words, so no worries from The Park Wife.

TIMES UP! Thanks everyone!
